Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: The rapid development of new energy vehicles has significantly improved fuel consumption in the industry

On the morning of April 25, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a press conference of "Annual Report on the Implementation of the Management Measures for Parallel Average Fuel Consumption of Passenger Vehicle Enterprises and New Energy Vehicle Points (2023)" (hereinafter referred to as "Annual Report") in Beijing, attended by relevant responsible comrades of the equipment industry Department 1.

The Annual Report summarized the development situation of energy-saving and new energy vehicles in 2022, sorted out and analyzed the compensation situation of points trading in 2022, and analyzed the supply and demand situation and policy trend of points. Since the implementation of the Measures for Parallel Management of Average Fuel Consumption and New Energy Vehicle Points of Passenger Vehicle Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the Measures), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and relevant departments have carried out five times of point transactions, with a total amount of 25.2 billion yuan (including the transfer of average fuel consumption points and the transfer of new energy vehicle points). Positive results were achieved in supporting the development of energy-saving and new-energy vehicles. According to preliminary estimates, the average fuel consumption of passenger car industry in 2022 will be 4.10L/100 km, down 19.6% year-on-year, achieving the target of 4.60L/100 km in 2025 ahead of schedule. The production of new energy passenger vehicles reached 6.037 million (included in the number of points accounting), up 95.4% year on year. The implementation of the Points Method has achieved the expected goal. At the conference site, the Equipment Industry Development Center read the content of the Annual Report.
